POSTPONED - Winter Wellness Event at Place Eight Wellness, Swanbourne
We were hoping to run this event in December then January and well now, who knows but we'll keep our fingers crossed that it may be possible around Easter and become a Springtime event and will let you know nearer the time!
Tumeric Latte receipe - as discussed with Mon 7.30pm class this week and courtesy of Louise at Place Eight Wellness
'Life is better with turmeric'... and the list of health benefits endless! It's now cold and miserable enough outside to start making this amazing drink again. I like it with coconut milk as it works better with the earthy taste of the turmeric but any nut milk is good.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The addition of the coconut oil (which is optional) not only gives you a shot of great fats but also helps the absorption of the turmeric.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
☀350ml almond or coconut milk⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
☀¼ tsp ground turmeric⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
☀¼ tsp ground cinnamon (or 4cm of fresh sliced turmeric root)⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
☀¼ tsp ground ginger (or 2cm fresh sliced ginger)⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
☀½ tsp vanilla extract⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
☀1 tbs coconut oil ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
☀1 tsp maple syrup or honey⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
☀grind of black pepper⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Put all the ingredients in a saucepan and whisk constantly over a gentle heat, ideally with a milk frother if you have one. It will froth more without the coconut oil. Once hot, strain if using fresh root, pour into mugs and sprinkle with a little more cinnamon to serve. Enjoy!⠀
Hope you can ease up on the juggling and enjoy your weekend.
Take care
